Toast To The Coast Recap

Is there any better way to wrap up the end of another year than with great food, cold beer, and cheese by the platterful?

And that is exactly what Toast To The Coast gave us - an end of the year outdoor event that was a celebration of local flavours and sounds, and we were proud to be a part of it!

Celebration of the Sunshine Coast

Celebrating and sharing a love of quality local food and drink is definitely something we can get behind here at Kleer Cold Room Hire and Kleer Ice Supplies, so when we were asked to be a part of this legendary celebration we were eager to join in.

We gladly supplied the ice machines, freezer rooms, fridges, mobile cold rooms, cabinets, and, of course, plenty of ice to Toast to the Coast to keep all the delicious eats cool, and it was definitely worth the effort!

Ocean Street was absolutely bursting with mouth-watering treats and eats all day long. Local producers flooded the marketplace to create a foodie heaven, all with fresh produce from around the coast. The hardest part of keeping all the tasty morsels cool throughout the day was trying not to eat them before they go to the fridge.

On top of the food and sweet treats there was also plenty of beverages for the adults. With over 20 types of locally made or brewed beverages on offer, there was no chance of missing out on a delicious glass of wine or tasty beer.

This outdoor event supplied much more than just delicious snacks and drinks, with plenty of activities on offer for the 500+ people in attendance. The mechanical surfboard was a massive hit, pushing our local surfing pros to their limits, while the golfers of Maroochydore could practice their short game at Putt-Putt.

There was also ten pin bowling, allowing every dad to show off his striking abilities and every child to roll their eyes at his victory dance, and a kid’s play area which was always packed with laughter and fun. To add some culture to the mix, a pop-up art gallery paid appreciation to the talented local artists in the area.

Speaking of local artists, there was a massive line-up of 18 local musos playing throughout the day. All of the musical talent was sourced from the coast, and the feel-good, beachy vibes set the mood for the entire celebration.

We loved being a part of Toast to the Coast 2018 and we can’t wait to join them again for an even bigger and better celebration of our local eats and entertainment this year!
